Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), Jake Paul’s promotional company, has denied circulating allegations of fixed fights and undisclosed contract conditions ahead of Paul’s December 19 bout against Anthony Joshua, Daily Mail reports.
Nakisa Bidarian, MVP co-founder and CEO, said the claims “are not true and constitute a federal crime,” stressing that all of Paul’s bouts are sanctioned by athletic commissions and accompanied by testing from the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency.
Bidarian noted that the only nonstandard parameters in Paul’s career were the two-minute rounds and 14-ounce gloves used in his exhibition with Mike Tyson — adjustments that were publicly approved by regulators. He also rejected rumors surrounding the cancelled fight with Gervonta Davis, emphasizing that the bout was called off solely due to Davis’ arrest, not because of supposedly poor ticket sales.
Addressing the accusations, Bidarian underscored that influencing fight outcomes is impossible: any attempt to do so would immediately attract the attention of athletic commissions and federal authorities. He added that MVP operates in a fully transparent regulatory environment, referencing a recent UFC controversy involving potential integrity violations.
According to Bidarian, similar suspicions could not reasonably be applied to Paul’s bouts: “If anyone genuinely believed Jake’s fights were being fixed, the response would be immediate.”
Bidarian also stated that Paul’s future career does not depend on the outcome of the upcoming fight, pointing to interest in potential matchups with Tommy Fury, Ryan Garcia, and other opponents.
Gambling Park notes that this is not the first time Jake Paul’s promotional company has had to deny claims of a fixed fight — similar accusations surfaced ahead of the Tyson bout.
