The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has joined an inquiry into suspicious betting patterns linked to the UFC Fight Night bout between Isaac Dulgarian and Yadier Del Valle, ESPN reports. The investigation was initiated by UFC President Dana White, who personally reached out to federal agents.
Shortly after the fight, the promotion terminated Dulgarian’s contract. White confirmed that the organization had shared all relevant information with the FBI and was now working closely with federal investigators.
“We were contacted and informed there was unusual betting activity. We called the fighter and his attorney to ask if anything strange had happened — injuries, debts, outside pressure. He denied it and said he was ready to win. After the fight, we immediately reached out to the FBI. I met with them twice on Tuesday,” White told ESPN.
According to White, the alert about possible irregularities came from Integrity Compliance 360 (IC360), an independent monitoring organization that notified UFC about heavy betting interest in the featherweight matchup between Dulgarian and Del Valle.
Dulgarian, who entered the fight as the favorite with odds around 1.40, lost in the first round by submission. Several betting companies told ESPN they had received a surge of high-value wagers on Del Valle.
White emphasized that UFC continues its partnership with IC360 and consistently monitors betting activity to prevent manipulation. This marks the second federal investigation into suspicious betting related to UFC events — the first occurred in 2022, when regulators looked into irregular betting on the Darrick Minner vs. Shayilan Nuerdanbieke fight.
