ULIS: 128 Potential Match-Fixing Cases Identified in October

The United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) has released its report on potential match-fixing incidents for October 2025, recording 128 suspicious matches during the month.

For comparison, ULIS flagged 125 potential cases in September.

Gambling Park notes that the overwhelming majority of suspicious games were in football, which accounted for 119 matches — nearly 97% of all alerts.

Other sports mentioned in the report include:

  • Basketball: 5 matches
  • Tennis: 2 matches
  • Esports: 2 matches

Geographic distribution

The highest number of suspicious matches was reported in Asia (60), followed by:

  • Europe — 41
  • South America — 12
  • Africa — 8
  • North America — 7

Additional findings

Out of the 128 suspicious matches recorded in October:

  • 6 alerts were triggered before kickoff,
  • 70 during the matches,
  • 52 after the games had ended.

By level of risk assessment:

  • 62 cases were categorized as “red” alerts, indicating a high likelihood of manipulation;
  • 68 were marked “yellow”, suggesting moderate risk.

ULIS continues to monitor betting integrity across multiple sports worldwide, with Asia and Europe consistently showing the highest concentration of suspicious activity.
