Duel Founder Joins Neo-Fascist March and Is Caught in Clash With Anti-Fascists

Ossi Ketola, founder of the crypto casino Duel.com, was involved in a clash near an anti-fascist rally in Helsinki, Finnish outlet Nettipokeri reports.

Two demonstrations took place in the city on September 5. Around 300 people marched with Sinimusta Liike (“Blue-Black Movement”), a party Yle has described as openly racist and fascist. Roughly 600 others took part in a separate anti-fascist rally organized by Aurora Helsinki and the Varis network.

Ketola marched with Sinimusta Liike and livestreamed the event on Kick. He said he’d come out of curiosity, though he admitted that some of the movement’s views aligned with his own.

He attended the march dressed as Freakbob, Duel’s SpongeBob-inspired mascot.

Ketola and his companions later headed toward the anti-fascist demonstrators. By his account, the group was attacked without provocation. He claims police later stopped their car and kept five people in a police van for about two hours before letting them go.

Police, however, said they made no arrests in connection with the clash and found no evidence of a crime.

This isn’t the first time Ketola’s ventures have been linked to Nazi imagery. At a Duel Arena tournament, white supremacist fighter Paul Miller gave a Nazi salute after beating a Jewish opponent, while a spectator in the crowd unfurled a swastika flag. A Duel livestream has also featured a dealer dressed in a Nazi uniform.
