British gambling group Entain is taking legal action against Liquidity Trading, a company that operates services for professional bettors. These platforms help users find bookmaker bonuses, compare odds across different operators and use betting strategies. The services include Outplayed, OddsMonkey, Team Profit and Team Casino.
Entain claims that Liquidity Trading used logos and branding elements belonging to the group’s brands, including Ladbrokes, Coral, bwin, Sportingbet and other projects, without permission.

The company is also challenging the business model of such platforms, particularly those targeting bonus hunters, arbitrage bettors and value bettors. These users search for attractive bookmaker bonuses, compare odds between operators and exploit pricing errors in betting markets to identify overvalued odds.
The High Court of England and Wales has removed Entain’s copyright infringement claims from the case after ruling that the company failed to provide sufficient details to support its allegations. In particular, Entain did not specify who owns the rights to the logos, who created them or which exact branding elements are protected by copyright.
The court noted that ownership of a brand does not automatically grant copyright protection over its logo. Entain must prove that it owns the rights to the images and demonstrate that the design elements meet the requirements for copyright protection.
The dispute between the parties will continue. Entain has been given the opportunity to amend its claims and submit additional evidence. Other allegations, including those related to trademark use, may be considered at a later stage.
