Lionel Messi Appears in Kalshi Advertising Campaign

Lionel Messi has appeared in a promotional campaign for prediction market platform Kalshi. The Argentina captain shared a promotional post on social media linked to a prize draw run by the company.
The post promotes a campaign in which users can win signed shirts from Argentina national team players. The prizes include shirts signed by Messi himself, as well as shirts signed by Nicolás Otamendi and Rodrigo De Paul.

The campaign is part of a wider agreement between Kalshi and the Argentine Football Association. The partnership was announced earlier, ahead of the 2026 World Cup. It covers the tournament period and includes joint advertising activity, social media promotion and the use of Argentina national team branding.
Under the agreement, Kalshi has been granted the right to use the colours, crest and other intellectual property of the Argentine Football Association in its marketing materials.
A separate part of the deal concerns data. Genius Sports, AFA’s official data and broadcast partner, will provide Kalshi with information to help settle prediction markets.
Messi’s post is part of Kalshi’s broader advertising campaign around the Argentina national team. For the platform, it marks a notable move into football: the company is using interest in the 2026 World Cup to promote prediction markets through one of the world’s most popular national teams.
