Oddschecker Reports Data Breach Exposing User Passwords and Personal Information

Popular betting odds comparison service Oddschecker has suffered a data breach involving user information. A spokesperson for FairPlay Sports Media, which owns the platform, confirmed the incident to SBC News.
According to the company, the breach affected a limited part of Oddschecker’s systems.
The exposed information included account holders’ personal data, such as passwords, contact details and dates of birth.
FairPlay Sports Media said the issue had been identified, contained and resolved. Oddschecker remained operational throughout the incident and continues to function as normal.
The company said it has so far found no evidence that the compromised data has been misused. In particular, Oddschecker is not aware of any user information being used in phishing campaigns or other fraudulent activity.
Users who may have been affected have been advised to change their Oddschecker passwords. Those who use the same password on other websites have also been urged to update it there.
The company has brought in external cybersecurity specialists to investigate the incident and has notified the relevant authorities.
