Trading volume on Polymarket’s market for the winner of The International 2026 in Dota 2 has surpassed $1 million.
The figure represents the total trading volume on the tournament winner market — the combined value of all trades made by users.
At the time of publication, the main favorites on Polymarket are:
- Team Vision — 36%;
- Team Yandex — 17%;
- BoomBoys — 14%;
- Team Spirit — 13%;
- Team Falcons — 12%;
- Team Liquid — 10%;
- Aurora Gaming — 2%;
- LGD Gaming — 2%.

For comparison, trading volume on Polymarket’s equivalent market for The International 2025 winner reached $1.62 million. The 2026 market had already generated more than 60% of that amount on the opening day of TI 2026, meaning this year’s final volume could be several times higher than last year’s.
Interest in betting on Dota 2 is also growing in the traditional sportsbook sector. According to Oddin.gg, betting volume on the game during the Esports World Cup 2026 increased 2.35-fold across the company’s partner network compared with last year’s tournament. The Dota 2 event also attracted more betting volume than any individual Dota 2 tournament held since the start of 2026, including DreamLeague.
The International 2026 began yesterday, August 13, in Shanghai. The opening matches of the group stage were delayed by more than an hour.
According to unconfirmed reports, the delay may have been linked to issues with Dota 2 servers in China, with users reporting disruptions shortly before the tournament was due to begin.
The group stage of The International will run through August 16. The eight-team main event will take place in Shanghai from August 20 to 23, with the grand final scheduled for August 23.
Team Falcons won The International 2025, defeating Xtreme Gaming 3-2 in last year’s grand final.
