According to iGaming Future, a Brazilian federal court has temporarily suspended SPRIBE’s registration of the Aviator trademark. The measure will remain in place pending the outcome of legal proceedings challenging the rights to the Aviator brand in Brazil.
The lawsuit was filed by Aviator Studio Brazil. The company claims it acquired rights to the name before SPRIBE registered the trademark in the country.
The court found the arguments sufficient to impose an interim measure and suspend the registration until the case is until the case is considered in full.
“SPRIBE will no longer be able to continue its destructive practices against operators, including sending threatening letters or filing lawsuits,” said Giorgi Pruidze, chief executive of Aviator Studio.
The dispute over the Aviator brand is part of a wider conflict between SPRIBE and entities linked to Aviator LLC and Aviator Studio, with related cases being heard in several jurisdictions. Aviator Studio has cited a Georgian court ruling as one of its arguments. In 2025, the Supreme Court of Georgia invalidated SPRIBE’s trademarks in the country.
However, SPRIBE has not faced unfavourable rulings in every case or jurisdiction. In England, for example, the court declined to rely on the Georgian Supreme Court’s decisions when considering related disputes, leaving the parties’ arguments to be assessed within its own proceedings. In April, a court in the state of Pernambuco also granted SPRIBE’s request and ordered Betnacional to stop using the Aviator name and related elements.
No final ruling has yet been issued. The dispute over the rights to the Aviator brand in Brazil will continue as part of the main court proceedings.
