Serena Williams will return to the singles draw at Wimbledon 2026. The 44-year-old American has received a wild card from the tournament organisers, The Guardian reported.
For Williams, it will be her first singles tournament in almost four years. She last played singles at the 2022 US Open, after which she effectively stepped away from the professional tour. Her most recent singles match at Wimbledon also came in 2022, when she lost to Harmony Tan in the first round.
At the time of writing, Kalshi put Serena Williams’ chances of winning the Wimbledon women’s singles title at around 3%.

Melbet had her at 29.00 to win the title, while 1xBet priced her at 35.00.
FONBET stood out with by far the longest odds, pricing a Serena Williams title win at 100.00.

Such a wide spread appears understandable: bookmakers and prediction market users have little recent form to go on when assessing the 44-year-old after such a long break. At the same time, Williams remains one of the biggest figures in tennis history. She has won 23 Grand Slam singles titles, including seven Wimbledon titles.
Her singles comeback follows her return to the court in doubles. Williams had already received a Wimbledon wild card to play alongside her sister Venus and, before the tournament, played several matches on grass at events in London and Berlin.
