Users on Polymarket estimate the probability that at least part of the stolen KitKat chocolate bars is recovered by April 5 at around 9%.

The contract relates to an incident in late March, when approximately 12 tonnes of goods — more than 400,000 bars from a special Formula 1-themed series — were stolen from a truck en route from central Italy to Poland. Nestlé confirmed the theft on March 29 and said it was cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
Under the market’s rules, a “Yes” outcome will be recorded if at least one bar comes under the physical control of Nestlé, its affiliates or law enforcement agencies before the deadline.
Identifying the location of the goods without physically recovering them will not qualify.
As of April 1, there have been no reports of arrests, the discovery of the shipment or the recovery of any products.
Against this backdrop, traders are pricing in a base-case scenario in which the goods are not recovered in time, with the probability of a “No” outcome exceeding 90%.
Market context suggests such cargo thefts are often followed by the rapid distribution of goods on the black market, reducing the likelihood of a swift recovery.
Trading volume for the contract has exceeded $124,000.
