Playtech, a London-listed gambling software developed, has announced its 2023 financial results, with revenues reaching €1.7 billion.
This represents a 7% increase from the previous year’s €1.6 billion. The company’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) also saw a rise, reaching €406 million — a 12% jump from 2022’s €363 million.
The revenue from European markets, excluding the UK, was €200 million, with the UK contributing €126 million.
Notably, Playtech’s Latin American market experienced significant growth.
A key highlight for Playtech in 2023 was the performance of Snaitech Italia, which generated revenues of €949 million, an increase from €899 million in the previous year. Playtech’s acquisition of the Italian operator in 2018 has proven to be a lucrative move, although there were considerations for a potential sale of Snaitech in 2022.
Established in 1999 by Israeli entrepreneur Teddy Sagi in Tartu, Estonia, Playtech is now based in the Isle of Man and remains a leading force in providing software and services to the global gambling industry.
