A new U.S. interstate lottery titled Millionaire For Life is set to launch, offering lifetime payouts as its core feature, The Independent reports. Instead of a one-time jackpot, winners will receive annual payments for life, according to the publication.
The game is scheduled to debut in late February and will initially be available in 29 states and the District of Columbia.
Players who match five numbers plus the bonus ball will be eligible for $1 million per year for life, with the odds of winning the top prize estimated at 1 in 22,9 million. Those who match five numbers without the bonus ball will receive $100,000 per year for life.
Winners in both top prize tiers will have the option to choose a lump-sum payout instead of lifetime annuities. Under this option, the top prize would amount to $18 million, while the second-tier prize would be $2,2 million. A single lottery ticket will cost $5.
The first draw of Millionaire For Life is scheduled for February 22.
Earlier, Gambling Park reported that the UK Set to Launch Its First Prediction Markets Platform.
