Authorities in Cyprus are investigating an arson attack on the PUNIN WINE luxury alcohol boutique in Limassol. The incident occurred at around 3:40 a.m., with the shop’s entrance sustaining significant damage. No injuries were reported. According to police, the fire was started using a flammable liquid. The incident was reported by the Telegram channel Cyprus Control, citing law enforcement sources.
Cypriot police have not officially disclosed the identity of the property’s owner and have not confirmed any links to specific individuals. No suspects have been detained so far, and the investigation is ongoing.
However, open sources suggest that the wine boutique may be connected to Dmitry Punin, the founder of the online casino brand Pin-Up.

It is also noted that this is not the first incident involving property allegedly linked to the businessman. Earlier, on the night of November 26, four premium cars — a Lamborghini, Porsche, Mercedes and Tesla — were set on fire in a private open parking area near Limassol. The damage from that arson attack was estimated at more than €1 million. Police classified the incident as deliberate arson.
According to local media, the cars belonged to a 40-year-old foreign businessman operating in Limassol and described as being close to the late entrepreneur Stavros Demosthenous.
Based on a combination of factors — age, line of business and presence in Limassol’s business community — this profile broadly matches publicly available information about Dmitry Punin. However, there has been no official confirmation of this connection to date.
