According to preliminary data, a record number of guests attended the international gambling industry exhibition, ICE London 2023.
As reported by iGaming Business, approximately 40,000 people visited the event over its three days. The world’s largest gambling industry event took place at the ExCeL London exhibition center from February 7th to 9th. To accommodate participants, 41 halls of the center with a total area of 51.4 thousand square meters were used.
In 2021, ICE London was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and last year, a shortened version of the exhibition was held, which attracted a total of 24,000 visitors. The previous record was set in 2020 when the event attracted 36,000 guests.
The casino sector was the main reason for attending ICE London 2023 for 20,000 people, while 13,000 participants focused primarily on sports betting topics.
Another 5,000 visitors reported that their main interest was in the field of payment solutions.
Stuart Hunter, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, noted that preliminary data is subject to independent verification, but there is reason to believe that the 40,000 visitor mark has been surpassed, setting a new record.
The London event also set a record for the number of countries represented by participants: companies from 68 states were present at the exhibition. It is worth noting that applications from potential ICE London 2023 participants from Russia and Belarus were rejected by organizers.
