Irish mixed martial artist Conor McGregor is planning a return to the UFC.
McGregor has not competed since July 2021, when he suffered a broken leg in his trilogy bout against Dustin Poirier. A comeback had been scheduled for June 2024 against Michael Chandler, but the fight was scrapped due to a toe injury.
In October 2025, McGregor was handed an 18-month suspension by the UFC’s anti-doping program after missing three mandatory drug tests. The original two-year ban was reduced to 18 months due to his cooperation with the investigation and was backdated to 2024.
With the suspension now expired, McGregor is eligible to compete again. His representatives reportedly held talks with UFC officials in Las Vegas last week, which a source described to The Sun as “positive.”
McGregor is expected to return on July 11, potentially headlining UFC 330 in Las Vegas.
Nate Diaz had previously been considered as a potential opponent, but he is now scheduled to face Mike Perry on May 16. Michael Chandler is also no longer in contention, as he is set to fight Mauricio Ruffy on June 14.
Earlier, Gambling Park reported that McGregor had announced the launch of his own online casino platform, RealBet.io, marking his expansion into the iGaming sector.
