ULIS: 93% of Suspected Match-Fixing Cases in November Linked to Football

The United Lotteries for Integrity in Sports (ULIS) has released its report on suspicious sports matches detected in November 2024.
The report identifies a total of 72 potential match-fixing cases during the month, slightly up from 70 cases in October. Of these, a striking 67 incidents (93%) occurred in football tournaments.
Other sports flagged in the report include basketball (3 matches), volleyball (1 match), and eSports (1 match).
From a regional perspective, Asia accounted for 34 suspicious matches, all in football. Europe followed with 27 cases, 22 of which involved football. Additionally, South America reported 5 cases, while Africa logged 6.
One notable highlight: only 2 alerts of potential match-fixing were received before the games began. During live play, ULIS recorded 34 in-game alerts, while the remaining notifications arrived post-match.
