Macau’s government has set its 2025 casino tax target at $11.6 billion. Under the city’s current gaming concession system — implemented on January 1, 2023 — operators are taxed at a 40% rate on gross gaming revenue (GGR*).
Meanwhile, 2024 also marked a record year for suspicious financial transactions flagged within Macau’s casino sector.
