The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has fined a Toronto casino operator for failing to detect a cheating scheme involving table game dealers and players, according to Focus Gaming News.

The penalty was issued to Ontario Gaming GTA Limited Partnership, which operates Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto. Regulators identified five individuals involved in the conspiracy, including two table game dealers.

The dealers were reportedly exposing hole cards during hands and issuing inflated payouts to players involved in the scam.

The cheating operation is estimated to have cost the casino $20,000 over the course of a single week. As a result, the operator has been hit with a $120,000 fine by the AGCO.

A similar case recently made headlines in Malta, where a dealer was arrested for helping players win at table games.
