Streaming service Max has dropped the trailer of the second season of the dark comedy series ‘Bookie’ and confirmed its premiere date for December 12.

Created by Chuck Lorre, the mind behind ‘The Big Bang Theory’ and ‘Two and a Half Men’, the series stars Sebastian Maniscalco and Omar Dorsey in lead roles.

The show follows underground bookie Danny and his partner Ray as they strong-arm clients with overdue debts, all while navigating the chaos of a looming government push to legalize sports betting.

Filming for the second season reunited much of the original cast. Rob Corddry (known for ‘Hot Tub Time Machine’) transitions from a guest appearance in season one to a series regular. Guest stars this season include Zach Braff (Scrubs), Asher Grodman (Ghosts), Ray Romano (Everybody Loves Raymond), and Brad Garrett (Sweet and Lowdown).

New episodes of ‘Bookie’ will stream weekly on Max, with the season wrapping up on January 30, 2025.

The first season premiered on November 30 last year, with the renewal announced earlier this year.
