The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has released its quarterly update on match-fixing alerts and disciplinary actions for the first three months of 2025 (January–March).
A total of just 9 suspicious matches were flagged during the reporting period—less than half the 23 alerts registered in Q4 of 2024.
Here’s a breakdown of the tournament levels where the flagged matches occurred:
- ATP Challenger 100 (1 match)
- ATP Challenger 75 (5 matches)
- M25 Men’s World Tennis Tour 25s (1 match)
- M15 Men’s World Tennis Tour 15s (2 matches)
The ITIA also disclosed a summary of sanctions issued from January through March 2025 for violations of the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP), covering both players and officials.
In total, 10 individuals — players and umpires — received bans of varying lengths within the quarter. Among them were Juan Gabriel Castro, David Guez, and Agustin Moyano.
The suspensions ranged from three months up to six years.
Additionally, two umpires were fined (but not banned) for placing bets with bookmakers on matches they had no official role in.
As a reminder, in 2024, ITIA reported 95 potentially fixed matches and handed down sanctions to 38 individuals for corruption-related violations, including betting and match manipulation.
