Fake Casino Ad Uses Liverpool Star’s Face and Voice

Liverpool’s defender Virgil van Dijk is the latest target of a fake casino ad that used his image and voice to promote a Curacao-based cryptocurrency casino, B7 Casino, as reported by Casino Nieuws.

The ad was a video posted on Instagram, featuring clips from an interview with the football player in GQ, an American magazine.

The video was manipulated using artificial intelligence to make it look like Van Dijk was endorsing the casino website and telling Dutch people how to make money online.

Needless to say, Van Dijk never said any of those things, and the voice was not his. The football player and his management are aware of the fake video and are considering their options.

Virgil van Dijk might sue the scammers, but it’s not clear who is behind the video (the video’s creator is still unknown).
