Betsson Subsidiary Lands Record-Breaking Title Sponsorship with Inter Milan

Betsson Sport, a subsidiary of the Swedish gambling company Betsson, has been announced as the official main partner of Inter Milan.

This four-year deal will see the Betsson Sport logo proudly displayed on the front of the Nerazzurri’s playing jerseys, as confirmed on the club’s official website.

Italian media reports suggest that this sponsorship will bring Inter Milan a record-breaking €30 million per year.

Previously, Paramount held the title sponsorship for the Milan club. 

However, Italy’s ban on gambling advertisements, which extends to sports club jerseys, has been navigated cleverly in this case. Betsson Sport was specifically created to circumvent this legislation and promote the Betsson betting operator, demonstrating a prime example of surrogate advertising in sports.

This news comes on the heels of another major sponsorship announcement: Barcelona has extended its partnership with bookmaker 1xBet for 5 more years.
