Three downtown Las Vegas casinos have drawn more than 50,000 visitors from Canada through a promotion that treats the Canadian dollar at parity with the U.S. dollar, Casino.org reported.
The At Par program was launched by Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. All three properties are owned by Circa owner and CEO Derek Stevens. The promotion began in January and is due to run until August 31, 2026.
The offer is straightforward: for Canadian guests, 1 CAD is treated as 1 USD, regardless of the actual exchange rate.
At current exchange rates, CAD 1 is worth about USD 0.73. Under the promotion, however, participating casinos treat CAD 1 as equal to USD 1. That means a Canadian guest spending CAD 100 effectively receives USD 100 in value, rather than about USD 73.
The program applies to selected offers at hotels, casinos, bars and entertainment venues. Guests must verify Canadian citizenship with a passport or another government-issued document to take part.
More than 50,000 Canadians used the promotion in its first three months. According to the operators, the program generated more than 5,100 room bookings, while slot wagering exceeded $10 million.
The promotion was launched amid a decline in Canadian tourism to Las Vegas. According to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, 1.19 million Canadians visited Las Vegas in 2025, down from 1.45 million a year earlier, a drop of 17.4%. For the casinos, the program has become a way to reduce the impact of the exchange rate on tourists and encourage more Canadians to travel to Las Vegas.
