Crypto casino Duelbits was hit by a hacker heist, losing about $4.6 million from its accounts, Bits.media reported. The hackers struck during the night of February 13-14, and their identities are still unknown.
There is no word on whether Duelbits’ customers were affected by the attack. The casino, however, suffered both financial and reputational losses.
Duelbits is a partner of the Argentine national football team and the English Aston Villa F.C. It also has a famous ambassador in Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez.
The casino’s high-profile partnerships make this incident even more damaging. It’s worth noting that Duelbits has not yet confirmed or denied the hack.
This is not the first time a crypto casino has been hacked. Earlier, Stake.com lost over $40 million in a cyberattack.
