Casino Nieuws reports that there’s a new player in the Dutch gambling market. Maltese company SCGO Ltd, operating as VBET (offering sports betting, online casino, and poker), has scored a bookmaker’s license.
The gambling brand VBET is already active in various countries, including the UK, Ukraine, and Armenia.
Regarding the Dutch license, VBET has currently secured permission only for its betting activities. However, the company plans to get a license for online casino operations in the country as well.
It’s also interesting that VBET will use BetConstruct software for its operations in the Netherlands. VBET will be the first licensed Dutch gambling company to use this software.
Plus, VBET sponsors several clubs in the top 5 European football leagues. For example, the gambling company has teamed up with Monaco and Nice from France, as well as Portsmouth from England.
Considering the upcoming ban on gambling ads on sports club jerseys in the Netherlands starting from summer 2025, it’s unlikely that VBET will go for sponsorship deals in the country.
