The Formula 1 team that used to be Sauber until 2024, now called Stake F1 Team, has quickly removed all signs of its sponsor Stake.com from its official website.
Instead of the crypto casino, the team now shows its streaming service Kick as its partner.
But the team still has a deal with Stake.com as its title sponsor.

This comes after the Swiss Federal Gaming Board started looking into the Stake F1 Team for breaking the law with its gambling ads. Stake.com doesn’t have a license to gamble in Switzerland, so it can’t advertise or sponsor anything there. The team could get fined $574,000 if they are found guilty.
The boss of the former Sauber team said that the team follows the laws of every country they go to. But to be safe, they decided to clean up their website and get rid of the risky partner.
It’s not clear if this will save the team from trouble. They might have more problems with their gambling sponsor in other countries where gambling is banned. Their solution is to use Kick instead of Stake.com for their branding.
