A group of investors, led by former Entain (Bwin and Ladbrokes owner) bigwigs, has acquired a 6.6% stake in 888 Holdings, the gambling giant behind William Hill. Gambling News reports that the consortium (FS Gaming Investments) that bought into 888 Holdings includes Lee Feldman, Kenny Alexander, Stephen Morana and Shay Segev.
All of them used to hold top positions at GVC Holdings (now Entain). In fact, Alexander and Segev were both CEOs of GVC Holdings. The consortium also includes B. Riley Financial, Inc. and its CIO, Dan Shribman. Lee Feldman says that 888 Holdings is a bargain right now, and the investors’ main goal is to boost the company’s value. But he doesn’t reveal their strategy for doing that.
Meanwhile, this news boosted 888 Holdings’ shares by about 15% on the London Stock Exchange. Right now, one share of the company costs around £96 ($119).
