U.S. bookmaker BetRivers (a Rush Street Interactive brand) is teaming up with tech firm Integrity Compliance 360 to launch an education initiative aimed at teaching high school students about the risks and realities of gambling, according to SBC Americas.
The initiative, titled Gaming Literacy Aiding Decisions, is designed to help teens better understand online gambling and develop a more informed, responsible view of betting-related behavior.
BetRivers and Integrity Compliance 360 say the program addresses a growing need, as gambling becomes “an ever more socially prevalent activity.”
The first rollout of Gaming Literacy Aiding Decisions is scheduled for high schools in Delaware — where BetRivers holds a significant market share — and New Jersey.
Rush Street Interactive CEO Richard Schwartz emphasized that gaming operators have a duty to educate and equip young people with the tools and knowledge to make their own informed choices: “So that when the time comes, they can determine for themselves, with confidence and understanding, what relationship, if any, they wish to have with gambling products.”
Rush Street Interactive owns and operates BetRivers, PlaySugarHouse, and RushBet, and currently runs operations across 15 U.S. states as well as in Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Ontario (Canada).
