Betr, an Ohio-based sportsbook, has bought the Chameleon iGaming platform from Canadian company FansUnite for $7.45 million, Front Office Sport reports.

The Chameleon platform provides features such as user account management, casino management, and sports betting mechanisms. According to Front Office Sport, the programming team from FansUnite will collaborate with Betr to enhance the product, which is set to launch in the first half of 2024.

Gambling Park notes that Betr is known for its micro-betting service, which lets users bet on live events such as whether the next basketball shot will be a miss or a hit.

It is worth noting that one of the founders of Betr is well-known blogger and aspiring professional boxer Jake Paul. Currently, Betr operates only in Ohio, but the company has plans to grow in the American sports betting market.

The acquisition of Chameleon shows that Betr is broadening its scope to offer more traditional sports betting markets, while still keeping micro-betting as an option.

However, micro-betting will still be a part of Betr’s offerings as an addition to its main betting markets.
