The National Football League (NFL) has reinstated five players who were previously suspended for breaching the league’s stringent gambling rules.
These players were suspended in 2023 for violating the NFL’s gambling policy, which strictly prohibits players and other insiders from engaging in any form of gambling.
Among the players who violated these rules in 2023 are Shaka Toney of the Washington Commanders and Rashod Berry, a former linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts.
The NFL has also restored the rights of three ex-Detroit Lions players — Quintez Cephus, C.J. Moore, and Demetrius Taylor.
Among these reinstated players, only Toney remains with his original team. The contracts of the other players were terminated following their disqualification announcement.
