Panda Interactive, a company that specializes in interactive streaming technology, has sued data providers Sportradar and Genius Sports for infringing on its patent rights related to interactive streaming tech, as reported by iGaming Business.

The technology in question allows viewers to see real-time odds and place bets while watching live sports events.

Panda Interactive claims that it invented this technology and that Sportradar and Genius Sports have copied its patents, both in the general streaming market and in the online sports betting sector.

The legal battle will take place in the Eastern District Court of Texas. Panda Interactive has filed two separate lawsuits against Sportradar and Genius Sports. The lawsuits list several products that Panda Interactive alleges are copies of its technology. These include Genius LiveData, Genius Trading, BetVision, Sportradar OTT, and Sportradar Live Channel Trading.

Panda’s chairman, Donald Schupak, said, “We have made substantial investments in the development of our technology and cannot tolerate having our patented technology used unfairly by others and against us”.
