Macau’s gambling industry bigwigs are on a mission across Europe to promote the city as a tourist destination for Europeans, according to Inside Asian Gaming.

The delegation, led by Chief Executive of Macau Ho Iat Seng, includes senior concessionaire representatives from various companies, such as Galaxy Entertainment Group Director Philip Cheng Yee Sing, Melco Resorts CEO Lawrence Ho, MGM China ED Pansy Ho, Sands China President Wilfred Wong, SJM Holdings ED Daisy Ho, and Wynn Macau Ltd ED Linda Chen.

One of the main objectives of this tour is to increase the number of international visitors to Macau.

As of February, the Macau Government Tourism Office reported an average of around 1,600 daily international visitors, which increased to 2,000 in March.

During their visit, the delegation will be in Portugal until April 22, where Macau’s casino operators will set up thematic exhibition areas in Lisbon, and Macau government officials will present the city’s attractions in one of the squares in the Portuguese capital. The delegation will then head to Luxembourg and Belgium before concluding their European tour on April 27.

Their first stop is Portugal, where Macau’s casino operators will be showcasing thematic exhibition areas in Lisbon, and Macau government officials will present the city’s attractions in one of the squares of the Portuguese capital. After that, they will head to Luxembourg and Belgium before concluding their European tour on April 27.

Earlier, it was reported that low-stakes baccarat dominates the revenue structure of Macau’s casino operators for Q1 of 2023.
