President-elect Donald Trump, set to serve as the 47th President of the United States, has announced his decision to appoint billionaire entrepreneur Tilman Fertitta as the country’s ambassador to Italy.
“Tilman is an accomplished businessman, who has founded and built one of our Country’s premier entertainment and real estate companies, employing approximately 50,000 Americans. Tilman has a long history of giving back to the community through numerous philanthropic initiatives, which include children’s charities, Law Enforcement, and the medical community,” Trump stated on social media.
For context: Tilman Fertitta is the owner of Golden Nugget, a chain of casino resorts that operates properties in Las Vegas, Laughlin, and Stateline.
Additionally, Fertitta holds a significant stake in Wynn Resorts, a major player in the gambling and entertainment sector.
Notably, Fertitta is also the owner of the NBA franchise Houston Rockets.
