Hard Rock International has joined a list of more than 30 companies and organizations sponsoring the construction of a new $300 million White House ballroom in Washington, NBC News reports.
The project is being financed entirely through private corporations and charitable foundations, with former U.S. President Donald Trump also listed among the sponsors.
According to NBC, this marks the largest structural change to the White House since President Franklin D. Roosevelt expanded the East Wing in 1942, which traditionally housed the First Lady’s offices.
The East Wing has now been demolished—torn down last Thursday—to make way for the new ballroom.
Hard Rock International is the only gambling company involved in the project, though the amount of its contribution has not been disclosed. Other key sponsors include Meta, Lockheed Martin, and Booz Allen Hamilton, representing the technology, defense, and energy sectors.
