Sportradar, a Swiss tech company, has landed a lucrative deal with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) to become its official betting partner for the 8 eight years.
The deal gives Sportradar exclusive rights to use, license, and distribute USSF’s media data and sports betting information.
This means that Sportradar will have access to 111 soccer matches every year, featuring both the men’s and women’s national teams, as well as major tournaments like the U.S. Open Cup and the SheBelieves Cup.
Sportradar will also be able to stream these matches online to bookmakers outside the U.S., but not within the country, due to existing contracts between USSF and American broadcasters WBD Sports and Telemundo.
In exchange, Sportradar will provide USSF with services to enhance the integrity and transparency of the sports betting system in the country. Sportradar will also use its technology to detect and prevent betting fraud.
