Kenyan Regulator Cracks Down on Crash Games Like Aviator

Kenya’s Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB) has ordered gambling operators to provide detailed reports on their crash game* offerings, according to Tuko.ke.
Operators now have seven days to submit independent audit certifications verifying the fairness and randomness of their crash games. The required documentation must also include a full breakdown of the game mechanics, betting process, and outcome algorithms.
Failure to comply within the deadline will result in a ban on offering crash games.
“This directive responds to growing public concerns over crash game mechanics,” the regulator stated in an internal memo sent to gaming companies.
Additionally, Kenya has now outlawed standalone platforms dedicated solely to crash games. Titles like Aviator will only be allowed on licensed online casinos or bookmakers, a move aimed at shutting down unregulated apps that have exploited legal loopholes.
* Crash games are a type of online casino game where a moving object — such as a plane in Aviator — determines the odds. As long as the object is in motion, the multiplier increases, allowing players to cash out before it stops.
