One of the world’s leading online poker rooms, GGPoker, is launching a new documentary series exploring the lives of professional poker players. The project, titled “Online Poker Millionaires”, is produced in collaboration with POKERfilms Studio.
Each episode will spotlight a well-known player, offering a closer look at their mindset, daily routines, and personal motivations.
The premiere episode airs on 12 November at 6:00 p.m. CET on GGPoker’s official YouTube channel, with the trailer already available online.
The debut focuses on Alex Theologis, a Greek poker pro, GGMillion$ and WSOP champion, whose total winnings on the platform exceed $9 million. In a statement shared via Businesswire.com, Theologis said that online poker allowed him to build a life “beyond anything I could have imagined.”
The series aims to portray the real side of the profession — from the psychological pressure and mistakes to personal growth and resilience.
Production is led by POKERfilms, known for its behind-the-scenes poker documentaries. Director Mike Bailey noted that the goal is to “show real people living real lives behind the screens.”
The launch of Online Poker Millionaires is part of GGPoker’s broader strategy to strengthen its media presence. The operator, twice named Poker Operator of the Year by EGR, continues to invest heavily in original content and collaborations with prominent players and influencers. The new series is expected to further reinforce GGPoker’s image as a global leader in online poker and expand its reach beyond the gaming community.
