SOFTSWISS - Rubens Barrichello

Global iGaming software supplier SOFTSWISS has welcomed former Formula 1 driver Rubens Barrichello to its team as a non-executive director for Latin America.

This strategic move aims to broaden the company’s footprint in the region.

The focus is on Brazil’s burgeoning gambling market. TGM Research projects that the gross revenue of the iGaming industry in Brazil will hit €2.3 billion by 2026.

SOFTSWISS expects Barrichello’s expertise to bolster its product offerings and drive innovation in the industry. The former racer will also promote responsible gaming principles.

Founded in 2009 in Minsk by entrepreneur Ivan Montik, SOFTSWISS now boasts a team of over 2,000 employees based in Malta, Poland, and Georgia.

Born in São Paulo in 1972, Rubens Barrichello secured the runner-up title in F1 in 2002 and 2004, and third place in 2001 and 2009. He also claimed the championship of the Brazilian Stock Car Series in 2014 and 2022.
