Canadian rapper Drake kept his playoff betting streak alive by wagering on the second-round NHL matchup between the Florida Panthers and the Toronto Maple Leafs, sharing the slip on his social media.
As usual, he placed his bet through the crypto bookmaker Stake.com, backing his hometown team with a hefty sum. But the Leafs couldn’t deliver.
He wagered $1 million worth of crypto on the Maple Leafs to win (including OT), at odds of 2.13.
The bet would have paid out $2.13 million, netting him $1.13 million in profit — but it didn’t pan out.

Toronto was blown out 6–1 on the road in Game 7, dropping the series 4–3 to the Panthers. Florida now advances to the NHL Eastern Conference Finals, where they’ll face the Carolina Hurricanes.
Drake, a longtime ambassador for Stake.com, is no stranger to high-profile bets. That said, given his partnership with the platform, some speculate that these flashy wagers are more about marketing than money — and may not reflect real personal stakes.
