The family behind sports betting giant Bet365 — Denise, Peter, and John Coates — have secured the 16th spot on The Sunday Times Rich List for 2025.

Their combined net worth is estimated at £9.45 billion (roughly $12.6 billion), according to the publication.

Compared to last year’s ranking, the Coates family has added nearly £2 billion (around $2.6 billion) to their fortune, pushing them four places up the list. Notably, the trio previously held the 16th position in both 2022 and 2023.

Other key names in the gambling world also feature on this year’s list. PokerStars co-founder Mark Scheinberg ranks 38th with a fortune of £5 billion ($6.6 billion). Meanwhile, Betfred founders Fred and Peter Done land at No. 57, with a combined worth of £2.9 billion ($3.8 billion).

Recent reports have also hinted that the Coates family may be exploring a potential sale of Bet365 — a deal that could be valued at $12 billion.
