A legal battle over betting ads at soccer stadiums in Brazil has ended with a victory for 3 betting companies: 1xBet, Betnacional, and Betano. A Brazilian court has ruled that they can continue to display their logos at the venues during Brasileiro Série A (the top-tier soccer league in Brazil) matches, as reported by MKT Esportivo.

The ruling comes after a legal dispute between the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and another betting company, Galera.bet.

The company has been a partner of the CBF since May 2022 and a sponsor of Brasileiro da Serie A. But a year later, in the spring of 2023, trouble started. The betting company saw ads from its rivals, 1xBet, Betnacional, and Betano, at the stadiums during the matches.

Galera.bet claimed that it had an exclusive contract that prevented other betting operators from placing ads at stadiums.

However, the CBF disagreed and signed deals with 1xBet, Betnacional, and Betano, allowing them to display their logos inside the stadiums, especially on banners in the flash interview zone.

Galera.bet took the matter to court and got a court order to ban the ads of the 3 rival companies during the soccer matches.

But now, a higher court has overturned that order, saying that Galera.bet’s contract with the CBF does not grant it any exclusivity over betting ads.
