Aristocrat Interactive, a division of Aristocrat, will close its Malta office and exit the white-label iGaming business, resulting in around 120 job losses reported the Times of Malta.
White-label iGaming is a model in which one company provides a ready-made platform for online casino or betting operations, allowing another to launch a product under its own brand without developing its own infrastructure.
The decision follows a strategic review, with Aristocrat stating that the white-label sector is no longer a priority for the company’s future growth.
The Malta office is scheduled to close at the end of June 2026, with all roles within the division to be eliminated.
Aristocrat is an international developer of gaming solutions for land-based and online casinos, best known for its slot machines. The company said it will continue operating in other areas and focus on its core business.
Authorities and industry bodies in Malta have indicated they are ready to support affected employees. Gaming Malta, a government-backed organisation, said it would assist with job placement. According to the organisation, around 1,200 vacancies are available in the sector.
