Caesars Sportsbook has accepted what is currently the largest wager placed on Super Bowl LX, ESPN reported.
The $2 million bet was placed by well-known Texas bettor and furniture retailer Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. He wagered on the AFC champion New England Patriots to win the Super Bowl. The bet was placed at odds of 3.00. If successful, the total payout would amount to $6 million, including $4 million in net profit.
The Patriots enter the final as underdogs. Their opponent in the championship game will be the Seattle Seahawks, who are considered the favourites.
McIngvale’s wager is accompanied by a promotional campaign at his Gallery Furniture retail chain. Under the offer, customers who spend at least $4,000 will receive a full refund if the Patriots win the Super Bowl.
Last year, McIngvale did not place a Super Bowl bet or launch similar promotions after undergoing heart surgery. He will turn 75 in February.
McIngvale, known by the nickname “Mattress Mack,” is the founder and owner of Gallery Furniture, a Texas-based furniture chain. In 2022, he won $75 million after the Houston Astros captured the MLB World Series — a payout that at the time marked the largest legal sports betting win in U.S. history.
Gambling Park previously reported that Fanatics Sportsbook released a Super Bowl advertisement featuring Kendall Jenner.
