Canadian rapper Drake is backing world No. 1 Jannik Sinner to win the men’s singles title at the US Open, placing a $300,000 bet on the Italian star.
Drake placed the wager at odds of 1.69, which would return $507,000 if successful.
Sinner has advanced to the quarterfinals after defeating Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik, and will next face fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti.

Earlier this year, Sinner’s triumph at the Australian Open earned Drake a $345,000 payout, after the rapper staked $250,000 at 1.38 odds. At last year’s US Open, however, Drake bet against Sinner and lost $210,000.
The latest high-stakes wager was placed on Stake, the crypto gambling platform with which Drake recently clashed. The rapper accused Stake’s owners of profiting from his wins while keeping artists under “unfair conditions.” Shortly after, Drake’s channel disappeared from Kick, the streaming service owned by Stake. He also claimed his withdrawal requests from the platform had been blocked.
