DraftKings, the American gambling giant, has revealed its plans to enter the betting market in Maine with its online platform.

The company has struck a deal with the Passamaquoddy Tribe, a local Indian tribe that holds legal gambling licenses in the state.

The deal will allow DraftKings to offer its gambling services in Maine, but it still needs to get the green light from the state regulators.

Maine is one of the states where you have to be 21 or older to gamble. With this move, DraftKings will expand its reach to 25 U.S. states.

Jason Robins, the CEO and co-founder of DraftKings, said, “Building a relationship with the Passamaquoddy Tribe is a fantastic opportunity for DraftKings, as we look to bring customers in the state of Maine safe and legal sports betting. We look forward to our continued collaboration with the Maine Gambling Control Unit as we become the official mobile sports betting provider of the Passamaquoddy Tribe and launch in our industry-leading 25th state”.
