Polymarket’s Top Three for the 2028 US Presidential Election: JD Vance, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Jon Ossoff
Trading volume on Polymarket’s market for the winner of the 2028 US presidential election has surpassed $700 million. At the time of writing, total volume stands at around $703 million.
The market opened on July 11, 2025 — more than three years before Election Day. The presidential election is scheduled for November 7, 2028, meaning there are still 26 months to go.
Despite that, the current market has already generated about 19% of the total trading volume recorded by Polymarket’s equivalent market for the 2024 presidential election. That market ultimately reached $3.69 billion in volume.
US Vice President JD Vance currently has the highest-priced contract on Polymarket.
The top five are:
- JD Vance — 25%
- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez — 13%
- Jon Ossoff — 12%
- Marco Rubio — 9%
- Gavin Newsom — 7%

On rival platform Kalshi, trading volume for the equivalent market stands at around $64.8 million — roughly one-eleventh of the volume on Polymarket. JD Vance also has the highest-priced contract there, at 23%.
