OpenAI has begun using data from prediction market Kalshi in ChatGPT responses to users’ questions about upcoming matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, The New York Times reported.
Users cannot place bets through ChatGPT.
According to an updated OpenAI help page, Kalshi data is provided for informational purposes only and is currently available exclusively for queries related to the 2026 World Cup.
The partnership between OpenAI and Kalshi was not publicly announced. Both companies declined to comment on the agreement.
Gambling Park tested how the new feature works in practice. When asked which team is most likely to win the 2026 World Cup, ChatGPT displayed the latest win probabilities for the remaining teams, citing Kalshi as the source:

The deal marks OpenAI’s first partnership with a prediction market operator. Kalshi already works with CNN and CNBC, which use its real-time data in on-screen graphics during news broadcasts.
Kalshi’s main rival, Polymarket, signed a similar agreement in January with Dow Jones, the US media company that publishes The Wall Street Journal.
Major technology companies are also showing growing interest in prediction markets. Google previously reached agreements with Kalshi and Polymarket to display their data in search results and on Google Finance. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has also reportedly instructed the company to develop its own prediction market app.
