1xBet has announced Conor McGregor as its new ambassador ahead of his return to the UFC. The partnership was announced by journalist Guilherme Cruz in a sponsored social media post.
Under the deal, the Irish fighter will feature in the bookmaker’s promotional campaign. The first creative shows McGregor wearing 1xBet’s signature blue colors under the slogan “The King is back.”
The financial terms and duration of the agreement were not disclosed in the post.
The partnership will effectively launch around McGregor’s next fight. UFC 329 is scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on July 11 local time, with McGregor’s rematch against Max Holloway set to headline the card. In some regions, the broadcast will fall on July 12, which is why that date appears in the promotional announcement.
For 1xBet, the agreement gives the brand access to one of the most recognizable names in MMA history. McGregor is a former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion and was the first fighter in the promotion’s history to hold two titles simultaneously. His return after a long layoff is expected to be one of the biggest events on the UFC’s summer calendar, while 1xBet’s first major activation with its new ambassador will be tied directly to the Holloway fight.
