The Netherlands Gambling Authority (Ksa) has issued a warning to VBET for repeatedly offering prohibited betting markets. The regulator announced the decision on its official website.
The violation was identified during enhanced monitoring of bookmakers and betting operators carried out during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Ksa found that VBET was offering live bets on individual match events recorded in official statistics, including throw-ins, fouls, corners and offsides.
After being contacted by the regulator, VBET immediately removed the prohibited markets from its offering.
This time, the operator received a warning rather than a fine. If another violation occurs, the Ksa may take enforcement action. The regulator had previously raised concerns with VBET over the offering of prohibited betting markets.
In the Netherlands, betting on certain events that carry an increased risk of match manipulation is prohibited. These include cards and dismissals, throw-ins, fouls, corners and offsides. Standard bets on match outcomes or total goals are not covered by the ban.
The restrictions are aimed at preventing match manipulation. An individual player can deliberately commit a foul, be caught offside or send the ball out of play without significantly affecting the final result of a match.
